Anthony Sciacco, age 12, of Commack, NY (left) and Joseph Shocker, age 50, of Saratoga Springs, NY (right) hold up their empty pints in victory after winning the kids and adults categories in the annual Stewart’s Ice Cream Eating Contest at Saratoga Race Course on Wednesday, August 24.

The father and son team finished their pints of Stewart’s vanilla ice cream in 49.41 seconds and 2 minutes and 9 seconds, respectively.

Christian Ortiz, age 14, of High Falls, NY (not pictured) won the teens category at 39.09 seconds. A total of 30 track patrons participated in the annual competition.
