Belmont Park will present three Grade 1 races on Saturday, the Champagne, the Frizette, and the Jamaica Handicap, and racing fans will be able to catch all the action on MSG Plus. The show will air from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. EDT and will include the live runnings of the Champagne and Frizette and a replay of the Jamaica. In the Champagne for 2-year-olds, Union Rags, a 7 ¼-length victor of the Grade 2 Three Chimneys Saratoga Special, will face Alpha, who posted a six-length debut at Saratoga Race Course. The Frizette for 2-year-old fillies will feature Grade 2 Adirondack heroine My Miss Aurelia and impressive maiden winner Stopshoppingmaria. The Jamaica for 3-year-old grass horses will feature Brilliant Speed, who will attempt to become the first 3-year-old male to win two Grade 1 races in 2011. The telecast, a partnership between MSG and The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA), will feature NYRA personalities Jason Blewitt, Eric Donovan, Richard Migliore, Andy Serling, and Maggie Wolfendale. Al Bernstein will produce the show, which will be directed by Mitch Levites. In addition to televising live racing action, MSG Plus currently telecasts “Belmont Park/Aqueduct/Saratoga in 30,” a daily half-hour race-replay show and “Thoroughbred Weekly,” a weekly half-hour show including timely features and races of the week.
