MSG Plus Offers Live Mother Goose Coverage | |

MSG Plus, in partnership with The New York Racing Association, Inc., will offer live coverage of the Grade 1, $300,000 Mother Goose on Saturday, June 27 from 5:00 – 5:30 p.m. The Mother Goose features the return of Rachel Alexandra, the 3-year-old daughter of Medaglia d’Oro who is 8-2-0 from 11 lifetime starts, including six straight wins. In her most recent race, Rachel Alexandra won the Preakness Stakes on May 16, defeating Derby winner Mine That Bird by a length. The live coverage on MSG Plus will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, and feature expert race analysis from Andy Serling, Jason Blewitt, and Eric Donovan of NYRA Live. “We’re thrilled to build on our strong relationship with MSG, and offer horse racing fans and sports fans exposure to New York racing,” said Hal Handel, NYRA’s executive vice president and chief operating officer. “We are especially appreciative of MSG’s eagerness to showcase the stars of our sport, including Rachel Alexandra, who has captivated the attention of people nationwide.” MSG Plus’ Mother Goose coverage continues the partnership with NYRA that also included live coverage of the 2009 Wood Memorial and will include live coverage of five Saturdays at Saratoga Race Course.
