Ramon Dominguez, who missed the first two days of the Aqueduct fall meet to compete in the Breeders’ Cup at Churchill Downs, made up for lost time on Wednesday, winning four races to claim the top spot in the jockey standings. Dominguez’s victories included a front-running score in race 3 aboard Mucho Macho Man ($4.90), a graded stakes winner who was making his first start since finishing seventh in the Belmont Stakes. In addition, Dominguez won race 2 with Hey Valentina ($5.30), race 4 with Zultanite ($19.40), and race 9 with Troponin ($7.20). With the four-win day, Dominguez has now captured seven races during the meet, two more than second-place jockey Alan Garcia. Wednesday’s Pick 6 evaded bettors, creating a two-day carryover of $72,095 into Thursday’s card. The sequence, which includes three races apiece on dirt and turf, will get underway at 1:50 p.m. with race 5. Wagering on Thursday’s card, including the Pick 6, will be available at Aqueduct Racetrack and the Belmont Café and through NYRA Rewards.
