Party at the Park - Friday, June 18

On Friday, June 18th, Belmont Park will be hosting the biggest party on Long Island! Start your weekend with a 3:00 p.m. post time and a party that includes food and drink specials, along with a great live concert event that starts in the Festival Tent after the conclusion of live racing (approximately 7:15 p.m.). It’s an easy decision to join us at Belmont Park for an afternoon and evening filled with the best in live racing, food, drinks, and music!

Big Shot Tribute Band – The Ultimate Billy Joel Experience!
Party at the Park’s feature band, Big Shot, plays Billy Joel's hit songs in a tribute so spot-on that Billy Joel himself said "They had a hard time convincing me that it wasn't me." Comprised of professional, national touring musicians, Big Shot is committed to the accurate reproduction of Billy Joel's repertoire, and is versatile enough to also cover Elton John, The Beatles, Journey, Paul McCartney, Marc Cohn, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi and many others!

Independence Day Picnic - Sunday, July 4

Belmont Park’s spacious backyard is the ideal setting for a perfect Independence Day Picnic! Sunday, July 4 also highlights great graded stakes action with the Prioress (GI), and other exciting feature races. Bring the family, and enjoy Family Fun Day activities in the backyard from noon – 4:00 p.m. It’s a celebration not to be missed!

Looking for a great, affordable place to spend with your kids on a Sunday afternoon? Belmont Park has your answer with Family Fun Day! The beautiful Belmont Backyard and Picnic Area come alive with a variety of fun and exciting activities and games that the entire family can enjoy. Every Sunday features pony rides, a petting zoo, face painters, and giant inflatables. We also have special activities scheduled for each week, as follows:

All Family Fun Day activities are FREE! A $1 charitable donation is collected for the pony rides. Belmont Park general admission is only $3, and children under 12 are admitted FREE!

Breakfast at Belmont Park

One of the most popular programs that we run is Breakfast at Belmont Park! Get a behind-the-scenes look at the world of thoroughbred racing, including guided tram tours of Belmont’s historic stable area, trackside commentary of live morning workouts, and starting gate demonstrations!

Breakfast at Belmont Park is open to the public on weekends and holidays during the Belmont Spring/Summer Meet (May 1 – July 18), with the following exceptions: There will be no Breakfast program on Saturday, June 5, and Sunday, June 6 and there will be no tram tour on Saturday, July 17 and Sunday, July 18.

Admission and activities to Breakfast at Belmont Park are free, and an optional breakfast can be purchased. Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Belmont Stakes Day - Saturday, June 5

Don’t miss the crown jewel of New York racing! Belmont Park Handicapping Contest

The annual Belmont Park Handicapping Contest will be held on Saturday, June 26 & Sunday, June 27. The first three finishers in the contest will gain entry to the NTRA/Daily Racing Form National Handicapping Championship, which is scheduled to take place next January in Las Vegas, NV. There are also great cash prizes for the top 20 finishers, and the highest overall bankroll after days one and two. Contest slots are limited, so make sure to send in your application soon!
